Ning brings a diverse perspective to her daily work as a result of having grown up in Beijing during a time when China became the emerging frontier market. She joined the investment team as an intern in 2007 and was later hired as a full-time team member in 2008. Prior to joining, she worked as a paralegal at the J&S Law Firm in Beijing while studying International Law at Beijing’s China Foreign Affairs University.

Ning holds a Master of Pacific International Affairs degree from the University of California, San Diego.

How and why did you get into this business?

While pursuing my master’s degree I found I was very interested in and adept at financial analysis. I started to consider this industry as a career choice. When I began an internship here, I fell in love with it and never looked back.

What inspires you to come to work each day?

The people and the challenges. There are always new investment opportunities with research nuances and I love analyzing these opportunities with my colleagues.

What is the most exotic place you have ever visited?

Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda for mountain gorilla trekking.
