Larry serves as Chief Investment Officer and as a portfolio manager on our frontier strategy. Prior to founding Frontier Market Asset Management in 2006, he held investment management positions with Laffer Associates, Nicholas-Applegate, Batterymarch and Putnam. Larry launched Nicholas-Applegate’s emerging markets strategy and developed international and global quantitative disciplines. At Batterymarch he was responsible for one of the first equity funds in China and also worked on the development of a fund for Russia. Previously, he served as a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy.

Larry holds a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Yale University and an M.B.A. from Harvard University. He is the author of Frontier Market Equity Investing: Finding the Winners of the Future (2011, the CFA Institute Research Foundation) and numerous articles in investment journals.

Larry has served on the board of the CFA Society of San Diego, is past president of the Boston Securities Analysts Society, and is a past director of the Investor Responsibility Research Center in Washington, D.C.
